Weekend Run-Down: January 22-24

Welcome to my new website guys! I thought it was time for a change, so I relaunched my blog on this platform for a newer, sleeker look. Change looks good on me, am I right? 🙂

To start things off right on my new domain, I’m going to give ya’ll a weekend run-down. Let’s do it.

Friday, January 22nd

On Friday, my family and I headed to the mall for a well deserved night out. I went for a monochromatic outfit with a pop of color. I made a set on Polyvore that inspired this outfit so check me out on there if you haven’t already!

Saturday, January 23rd

On Saturdays, I have a 12:00 ballet class with a contemporary solo rehearsal following. I realized that I’ve never shown you guys what I typically wear over my leotard and tights to class. Here is what I usually warm up in:

All of my favorite warm ups and athletic wear come from Lululemon. The quality of their items are fantastic and I have yet to have a see-thorough legging faux-pas with a pair of their trusty wunder under pants. Lululemon’s items are very pricy, but I truly believe that you get what you pay for and I absolutely love each of my pieces from them. Shop some of my favorite picks below:

Sunday, January 24th

Sunday is by definition the day of rest: and that is exactly what I did today. I chilled in bed writing this post, did some homework (ha) and watched some TV. I wore some super cute lounge wear that was as comfortable as it was fashionable. Never be afraid to dress up your pajamas and wear them out: you can always just call it athleisure 😉

Weekend Favorites

  1. I was seriously vibing to Spotify’s Mellow Morning playlist. Definitely check it out for some chill beats and dreamy vocals. Perfect for a lazy Sunday morning.
  2. I love watching YouTube videos when I am bored or need to unwind. Film maker, entrepreneur extraordinaire and ultimate cool-guy Casey Neistat is among my favorite YouTubers and people in general. His daily video blogs detail his interesting day to day escapades and all the hilarious situations he gets himself into. Go watch him snowboard though the snowy streets of NYC during winter storm Jonas here.
  3. My mom and I watched a really good movie on Netflix this weekend called Carolina starring Julia Stiles. It was really good and the perfect flick to catch if you’re in the mood for family dysfunction and crude humor.
  4. I picked up a Macbook Pro this weekend and am absolutely in love with it. It’s a big investment, but totally worth every penny. As a student, I got a really great discount by bringing in a college acceptance letter. If you are on the fence about purchasing one, I say go for it: you will not regret it.

That is all for me today. Make sure that you check back tomorrow for a wintry outfit post. Keep reading and sharing! Xoxo-Pointe Shoes and Prada
